Summary

Forgive your enemies, they say. Keep their addresses and keep notes, I say.

In The Secret Footballer: Access All Areas, you'll learn how to buy three Premier League points for just £25,000, what it's really like to face a Football Association disciplinary hearing, and why every footballer in the country shuddered when they heard about the Ched Evans case. Add to that The Secret Footballer's no-holds-barred tour of the country's Premier League clubs - telling us what it's like to play in each ground and revealing the one that all players really hate to go to - and you get an entertaining glimpse into a world that's normally off limits to the fans.

Unapologetically opinionated, witty and honest, The Secret Footballer: Access All Areas is every thinking fan's guide to the beautiful game. I am The Secret Footballer, and all bets from here on in are off....

Utter Drivel

Self aggrandising nonsense - no wonder the author wants to remain anonymous- appallingly written worthless claptrap!

Disappointing compared to others

I have now listened to 3 books by TSF. In this I found him arrogant and opinionated. It’s not suitable for kids as the language is appalling and unnecessary. The content is interesting and does what he set out to do which is provide insight into a game we love without being full of kiss and tell stories. This one however lacked something. In summary, try one of the others.

Absolute Rubbish

I don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to here as it was that bad.

The secret footballer, or TSF as he refers to himself, comes across as as unbelievably arrogant and totally unlikeable. He has such an incredibly high opinion of himself and the way he describes his encounters with the various other characters in the book, on almost every occasion make him sound petty, unreasonable and down right awkward.

I won't waste another minute reading any of this nonsense and will go back to my authentic sports Autobiography's.

Intriguing read

Great book, worth a read. Teaches respect about the game in more ways than expected. Well read and thought provoking of the off-pitch antics of the game

Fascinating insight but don't expect to like TSF

A fascinating insight into the murky inner world of professional football. The big plus is that the anonymity of TSF allows him to reveal the truth to a greater degree than named sports writers. However be warned, you won't come away loving the beautiful game or the author more. It paints a world of childish, spoilt players and sociopathic and caniving managers and chairman. Don't read if you can't handle the truth.

Great unfiltered look behind the scenes.

DON'T Google who this guy is like I did. Wait until the end, build your own opinion of him. I Googled him and it tainted my view of TSF. Nonetheless, as a Chelsea fan it's nice to here about what goes on at every level of football, and how weird managers can be. My favourite extract is the Michael Ballack part, but trying to guess who he is speaking about in different parts has been a great point of discussion for me and my mates. Well worth your time.

Love it! Shows a true picture of what football is

Shows a true picture of what football is and what goes on behind closed doors. I loved this book so much that I'm looking to get the others.

The secret is out though!
