Story
World-renowned Stanford University psychologist Carol Dweck, in decades of research on achievement and success, has discovered a truly groundbreaking idea - the power of our mindset. Dweck explains why it's not just our abilities and talent that bring us success - but whether we approach them with a fixed or growth mindset. She makes clear why praising intelligence and ability doesn't foster self-esteem and lead to accomplishment but may actually jeopardise success.

In Thinking, Fast and Slow, Kahneman takes us on a ground-breaking tour of the mind and explains the two systems that drive the way we think and make choices. One system is fast, intuitive and emotional; the other is slower, more deliberative and more logical. Kahneman exposes the extraordinary capabilities-and also the faults and biases-of fast thinking and reveals the pervasive influence of intuitive impressions on our thoughts and behaviour.

Story
From the author of 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos comes a provocative hypothesis that explores the connection between what modern neuropsychology tells us about the brain and what rituals, myths, and religious stories have long narrated. A cutting-edge work that brings together neuropsychology, cognitive science, and Freudian and Jungian approaches to mythology and narrative, Maps of Meaning presents a rich theory that makes the wisdom and meaning of myth accessible to the critical modern mind.

Not Reccomend
The recording audio is awful. The book doesn't not help to anger management. information about CBT. I am not a therapist so all the information were useless for me. I haven't found anything interesting. I didn't enjoy it.

repeated lines in the audio, poorly edited
actual audio replication, which speaks of poor attention to quality and leads me to distrust the content. title is misleading as only appears to deal with anger issues. mostly repeats that people need to seek help rather than giving any incite.

This is one of those books that you have to listen
This is one of those books that you have to listen over and over, perhaps even review yearly to make sure that you are still following the advise contained herein. Like every piece of advise, the lessons taught here dissipate with time, so it is very important that you do the Action Exercises as you listen the book and review your notes frequently.

This is the type of book I could listen!
This is the type of book I could listen to repeatedly (audiobook). The messages are good. For example, Author attacks a lot of areas that most of us typically complain about in life. He tries to help us get out of that through explaining how one can take more personal responsibility and use that as a discipline.

I took notes throughout the entire book and it listens more like a self-taught manual or graduate program. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to hold the mirror up for themselves and gain insights into where they might being getting stuck in their current thinking or habits. I found this book to be impactful and timely as I am in the process of growing a new business.

Classic 3/5
I could only get through the first third. There are no profound insights in this. It's boring, meanders, repeats itself excessively, and covers too wide a range of situations to be generalizable. This would've been more useful as an ebook because then you could skip around but as an audiobook it's a slog.

BIBLE VERSES, AND POINTLESS RAMBLING
ok where to begin.... The narration was so bland, like a plain piece of bread, so much so it was almost irritating. I have no clue why it has all 5 star reviews. This book series...it’s not like a self help book with advice, it’s more like a college paper written on how the therapy works, and it soon becomes apparent that she says the exact same thing over and over again...just worded differently, almost like she is just rambling to add pages to make a really big book. I just honestly don’t get why people 5 star it. Every single book in this set is as painful as the first one. Also I bought this set for the self discipline part of it, LOL it’s aimed at Christians, with bible quotes. That should have been stated in the title. I’m definitely getting my credit back, this is complete craziness. Just rambling. Don’t waste your time.
