From the bestselling author of The Secret Mother, a chilling tale about revisiting the past—and digging up secrets you’d rather forget.

The invitation to her school reunion couldn’t have come at a better time for Chloe Flynn. Divorced, broke and bored at work, she’s living a life her teenage self would hate. Turning the clock back fifteen years might be just what she needs to wipe the slate clean and start again. And then there’s the chance she’ll bump into Nathan Blake, the one she still regrets letting get away…

Back at her elite private school, Chloe sparkles as she reunites with old friends and long-forgotten love interests. And then, just as she’d hoped, there’s Nathan, more handsome than ever before. Even better, he’s single too, and seems to be just as keen to make up for lost time…

But as the evening progresses, Chloe can’t help feeling that something’s not quite right—that she’s not the only one who’s come here for more than just a party. When the secrets of the past start to emerge and the reunion takes a sinister turn, it’s clear that nothing is what it seems—and nothing will be the same again.

I am a good judge of character but I did not see this ending!! Shalini you fox!! You totally threw me, in a good way. It took me almost 1mins to realize that my mouth was hanging open!!! I will totally recommending this novel to all my friends. Well written and well read. *clapping**

Oh my God what a twist!!!!

I enjoyed the story overall although most of it was predictable, none of the "twists" shocked me. The biggest let down though was the narration. Chloe's narrator almost put me off continuing with the book and Dean's, whilst better, seemed overly loud and aggressive for the character.
I usually enjoy Shaini Boland as an author so it won't put me off other books of her's but had I listened to this first, I may not have gone on to try others

Good story, not so good narration

I really love Shalini's books and I've read most of them, this is by far my favourite. It's twisty, well narrated and fast-paced. I was quite sad at the end as I would have liked a different outcome, but it was still really interesting to see how everything played out.

the best book I've read by Shalini

Most of the characters were unlikeable from the start but the plot was so compelling I had to continue.

Brilliant twist
