Summary

In a field was a scarecrow, stuck to a pole. But he doesn't need to move about. Does he?

He has his brain and can think about problems and solve them for everyone. He helps a frightened rabbit when she gets into a pickle. He provides a safe haven for a crow who gets caught in a terrible storm. And he rescues a fox being chased by a scary dog. But then something terrible happens.

Will his friends be able to help him? Or will they leave him to think his way out of danger?
