Compulsive listening for me, good story, well read and kept me captivated. Find audio books so much better these days due to time constraints preventing me from picking up a book.

The narration is atrocious. The narrator’s accents are unbelievable and farcical. The books are fine but until the author starts to write in the 3rd person or finds a competent narrator this series will always lack credibility

I have just finished the Sam Pope books 4-6. Absolutely loved the believable story lines and the way Robert manages to keep hooked in from start to finish.

i like the story, the characters, etc. but either the reader (i suspect) or the author does not know the word brought (to bring), every time the word is read as bought (to buy), which i found myself thinking about the incorrect pronunciation every time. In fact the word bought is far less often used rather than brought so would be a lesser mistake to use brought all the time. I have to say that having only listened and never seen the written word, not sure who is at fault.
The other issue is the number of recaps of the Sam Pope’s life, the more books you read the longer they get, i would estimate almost an entire chapter of what has happened in the previous books and i know that information is useful but it seems excessive to me.
