Compulsive listening for me, good story, well read and kept me captivated. Find audio books so much better these days due to time constraints preventing me from picking up a book.

Gripping stuff

The narration is atrocious. The narrator’s accents are unbelievable and farcical. The books are fine but until the author starts to write in the 3rd person or finds a competent narrator this series will always lack credibility

The stories are almost believable

Far too many instances of retelling parts of the story over and over, which spoilt the pleasure of listening to the story.

Loved the stories but unfortunately (and not for the first time) the narrator really struggles with American accents. Some inflections were wrong too but didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the stories.

relay enjoyed the first box set of 3 books. Next three not in the same league. started well but trailed off by the last book. see what next Bix set brings, hopefully more of the original Sam Pope.
