There is a certain charm about these storylines which, sadly, gets jolted by in consistencies in the various plots. It's like the authors don't collaborate or have lost their backstory notes. E.g. The time line between books 8 and 9, seems to be a few weeks. No. 8 ending with the Feb 14th crises (including Briana Goodwin's wedding & the couple's promise to support her brother) and no. 9 starting middle of March with the pending trials and a yet phrase about the past months since the last Bk ended. More confusing though, is the appearance of Briana as single (again?) and her fiancée only mentioned at the close... They're still a good wheeze though; just suspend reality and enjoy!
