As Detective Michael Bennett's wedding day approaches, a killer has a vow of his own to fulfil....

Weeks before NYPD Detective Michael Bennett is to marry his long-time love, Mary Catherine, an assassin announces their presence in the city with a string of murders. All of the victims are young women. And each has been killed in a manner as precise as it was gruesome.

Tasked with working alongside the FBI, Bennett uncovers multiple cold-case homicides across the country that fit the same distinctive pattern. Bennett promises Mary Catherine that the case won't affect their upcoming wedding. But, as he struggles to connect the killings, Bennett may be walking into a deadly trap.

New Michael Bennet

So after listening to Danny narrate Michael Bennett since book 3 or 4 i think, having a new chap take the role is i have to say very odd, especially how changes were made that don't reflect past character profiles, the most prominent being Michaels Father Shamus, since I've known him in these books he has had a strong Irish accent, i get that Ari cant pull it off (really wish he hadn't tried with Mary Catherine, couldn't really tell what nationality she was each time he narrated her...worst Irish accent I've ever heard) but to suddenly portray Shamus as an American was very off putting, what was wrong with bringing in an additional actor to do the Irish bits, story was good but it could have used some suspenseful music. I've just finished listening to the Noise very well presented and they had so many people playing the roles...maybe take a leaf out of there book next time.
To be clear this is not a bash at Ari, personally i think he makes a better Michael bennet that Danny, but some people cant do accents they just cant.

Where is Danny Mastrogiorgio?

Sorry Ari Fliakos, but after enjoying several books with Danny narrating the characters in the Michael Bennett series, your take on the characters was a big let down and your Irish accents are appalling.
Another good story by Patterson though.
