Summary

My life is in ruins. Failed marriage, failed career - I'm a failure.

My husband may have had a hand in it, but I can't help missing him.

We made an agreement. I signed the contract, and so did he. Without our arrangement, everything falls apart.

So we'll keep losing ourselves in each other's bodies.

We'll keep pretending everything is fine.

But maybe I'm getting sick of pretend.

Maybe I want to find something real.

And just maybe, Luka does too.

Book three of three.

Uneven

I found this series uneven compared to the first series in this world. Brooklyn and Luca, I felt their characters were a good fit, however Luca would sneeze funny and all of a sudden Brooklyn has talked herself into that meaning he's having an affair. It was very much, they get together, she pulls them apart, over and over. This was frustrating on the listener. I did very enjoy the narration by Sebastian York and Elena Wolfe very much.

Not for me

I tried sooo hard to like this series. It’s because I attempt to give them a chance that I almost always listen to an entire series before reviewing, in the hope that it’ll improve. The narration on this was great!! Sadly, I could not enjoy Brooklyn’s character. Not only as a woman but just a person in general. Grow a backbone! Stick to your decisions when you make them. There was just so much wrong with her mentality and thought process, I could go on and on but why... sadly disappointed.

This Series Was Everything

I love this last book in the series. This one and the one about Stephan really opened my eyes to Gray’s books and now I’m hooked.

Ending long time coming

Between Brooklyn’s lack of confidence, insensitivity of Lucas’s jealously, and habit of relying on friend Matt plus Lucas denying his feelings for Brooklyn, not being clearer and more demanding on behavior rules for “friend” Margo Shore, and treating big brother Stefan as a perfect hero rather than a partner who could have used some of the information. Both are frustrating. The happy ending took forever and was a very short epilogue. Pretty good story but wish the trilogy had been edited better into a single book. Great narration as usual from 2 of my favorites. Now we wait for sister MZ, which will probably also be an overblown and not well edited Trilogy rather than a concisely well written single volume.

Not my fave of the series

This book is the 3rd and final book in the Convenience series. This book picks up where the last book leaves off with Brooklyn finding out that her arch nemesis Monica who was recently hired to the Danika agency won the modeling contract that Brooklyn was hoping to receive. Instead of Brooklyn talking and listening to her husband as mature adults do, she hightails it to LA to stay with her best friend who Luka is completely jealous of. She also completely ignores Luka while she's in LA. I really feel that Luka and Brooklyn should have had a lot more figured out in book 3. The communication throughout all three books was crazy. I was so tired of Brooklyn making assumptions and leaving Luka while he had to try to piece together what the heck happened all on his own. I wanted to smack her in books 1 and 2 and book 3 was no exception. Sebastian York was awesome as always and Elena Wolf is fast becoming a new fave of mine. I can't wait for MZ's story.
