this is worst book I have ever listened to. like a computer. Dreadful , and makes what is very interesting sound extremely boring.

Monotone and stumbling narration

Simply awful. A complete waste of money. I feel sorry for the author as his book is ruined by the narration which is truly awful.

what a waste of a credit....

just sounds like a computer talking-and finds it difficult to say the words properly... such a waste of a free credit.
he needs to learn to read with infection and change of pitch....only 2 mins in and I already want to throw the book away......

Terrible

The guy reading this book is just awful. His reading is so bad, it’s hard to understand or follow the book. Stumbling and miss pronouncing words all over the show. I was actually shocked how bad he was. Gave up on it after half and hour so I’ve no idea of the book is good or not.

Listened for 5 minutes...dreadful

Narrator could not pronounce Constantinople or Byzantine correctly, made the same error at least 5 times in first 5 minutes. Hopeless..

Do preview, I didn’t

This is not a review, just a warning. I didn’t preview but only checked a couple of reviews and then purchased. This is the only audiobook that’s ever given me a headache from a weird reading. There are plenty of other great audiobooks on Rome available on audible. This might be great and clearly others have enjoyed it immensely but I shall never know.
