I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in resilience or suffering stresses in their life that they're struggling with.

I wondered about this book, and was hesitant as many US books from Navy Seal types are hard to get through.

This was incredibly well-researched, deep, and practical. It’s incredibly sharp, but has a wonderful disarming tone and style.

It considers the idea of human resilience in a holistic, integrative way, from physical well-being or emotional well-being. For each “layer,” or component of resilience, they gave incredibly practical advice. Advice that is grounded in practice, research, and their own training.

I found this to be one of the better books I have read on resilience—one that avoids “tough guy” tropes (it doesn’t need them). The content and mastery of the material speaks for itself, and is approachable to anyone wanting to improve their well-being and performance.

Well written, well researched, and practical. Awesome tone.
