“After all, how could the sun exist without the stars?”

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this book. I’m not a fan of open relationship tropes and some parts were difficult to read. However, aside from those challenges, it was a truly sweet love story.

The spice in this book was impeccable given the nature of the work our 2 MCs did. Wow!

I couldn’t put it down, especially towards the end. I was desperate to know how it would end. Luke’s letter to Riley was both sweet and heartbreaking. The author really put me through it with that part.

The way they rekindled their romance also had me in tears.

Loved the narrators too!!

Unexpected new favourite

Well to start with, there's absolutely nothing to dislike about this audio! I fell in love with book when I fortunate enough to arc read it before release. This has been one of my favourite reads of the year so far, but to listen to it in audio......it just hits so much harder than I thought possible.

There could not have been two better cast narrators than Harley Chase and Mac Rae to voice Luke and Riley. They were absolutely outstanding. All the emotion, tenderness, spice and heartbreak you experience reading the book, you feel tenfold listening to audio. It's a very special book but even more special as an audio.

I am so pleased for Xara Kenley that this audio turned out as perfect as it is because nothing less would've done it justice. I will be shouting from the rooftops about this audio, love every minute of the journey (again) and I have not doubt this will remain one of my favourites for a long time to come 🖤

This is my first Xara Kenley book and it won’t be my last. This book is so full of heart that I was not prepared for. Luke and Riley are two characters you easily fall in love with and you are rooting for them to find each other but also to grow and they are given the space to do that. The immediate high heat but slow burn romance worked well in this story, the pacing was great. I throughly enjoyed Harley and Mac’s narration. All in all I loved this and I hope you do too

This was such a beautiful story and the narration made it even better. Fell in love with the two MMCs. It’s very spicy but it doesn’t take over the story. I don’t want to spoil anything else but it was a lovely listen.

Oh I loved this book, wonderfully written and fantastically narrated. I think it’s my favourite this year if not ever! Can’t wait to hear more from this reader.
