Summary

He’s death for hire…

Some people measure life in hours. Days. Weeks. I measure mine in kills. A covert military mission gone wrong robbed me of my memory and any link to my past. This is my existence now. I execute and survive. Nothing more, nothing less. I was ready to write Isabel Foster’s name in my ledger of unfortunate souls until she uttered the one word that could stop the bullet meant for her. My name.

She knows my face. She knows me. She’s the key to the memories I’m not sure I want back. Now nothing is simple. I still have a job to do, and my soul isn’t worth saving. I’m not the man she thinks I am. I can’t love her. And sparing her life puts us both in the crosshairs.

um.... did I just waste a credit on a chapter?

I get that this is part of a series. However, most series are made up of books that could each stand alone. Not this one. The plot "arc" ends at approximately 45 degrees.

Never ending story....

Don’t buy this one unless you want to buy a bunch more in the series. “Ending” is just set to purchase next in series.

A to be continued book

I loved the story and enjoyed listening to book, but if you want a true ending you will need to buy more of the series. It does not feel like a complete book even for a series which is why I lowered my rating.

Poor plot development

Disappointed in the plot development. This is obviously the prelude to the next book, but a waste of time in my opinion.

I loved everything about this story...but it was very short. Only 10 chapters and it went by very quickly! I'll definitely be reading nthe second part of this series!

Second chance

An unexpected journey into the past...until he reclaims his memories.

Second chance with the lover from her past. Only he has no memories of the love she claims they had. He was sent to kill her. She should fear him, yet their history won’t allow it.

Narrators:
Brian Pallino is the male narrator who performed Tristan’s character.
Jennifer Mack is the female narrator who performed Isabel’s character.
Together they had a Good sound quality, Read word perfectly, and the tone of voice used was ideal.
Dual performance with both narrators performing the dual point of view.

This was a high energy exciting story with plenty of action. They were on the run from danger.

Didn't enjoy the female voice

the female voice for this book comes off very robotic until she gets in to reading the chapter. its distracting to the story.
