A good read

Without spoiling a plot line for readers, I found that there were tears running down my face as I was listening to how the family coped with Neil's story. This happened in my family and I was struck by the accurate portraying of reactions of other people.
Over all I enjoyed listening to it and was sad when it ended.

The real Katie Lavender

You are back, the past couple of books have be a bit Mills and Boon and the books I really enjoyed were the early life stories. I must admit I wanted to slap the Father as he was such a wimp but he came good in the end. I always think your main character always draws you in so she could be your best friend by the end of the book. A very good read or listen.

A secret that changed everything.

Any additional comments?

Well worth downloading, I loved this from beginning to end and was disappointed when it was finished. Having read some less than favourable reviews I was a bit sceptical but it certainly did not disappoint . It was perhaps what I would call a good holiday read, not too taxing but certainly very, very enjoyable. If you read for enjoyment and not to analyse and interpret then this is well worth reading.

Wonderful story

I loved the premise of a search for "who am I" and how people often think that their persona is set by other's labelling of them.

erica james at her best.

Any additional comments?

this is the story of Katie lavender who goes in search for her biological father to find out more about him and his family. its about the impact a suicide has on the family and also the impact katie has on the lives of the family members.
filled with characters you become involved with and the situations they find themselves in this is a very good story.
flinty Williams doesn't perform this story, she reads it which means it can become confusing in knowing which person is speaking. it would have been a five star if she had given the different characters their own voice.

Good Story shame about the reader

I enjoyed this book and was gripped from the beginning but the reader sounded about 15 and it sounded ridiculous when she was reading the supposed words of a 90 year old. At times it was also hard to tell who was speaking.

Really lovely story

I love Finty Williams reading this style of book, it really suits her voice. I enjoyed the main charachter Katie Lavender.

I don't usually listen to romance novels but this had depth and kindness, a lovely story read by a wonderful narrator.
