Summary
Matt Lancaster is the star quarterback at Bodine College, a small Southern Division II school with an ultra-conservative dean of athletics. Matt is also very much in the closet, and he thinks he’s kept his secret well hidden, until his best friends take him to a happy endings massage parlor and request a male masseuse for him.
In walks Trevor Kim, a gorgeous, pierced, tattooed fellow Bodine student who does massages - without happy endings - to pay for school after his family kicked him out for being gay. Trevor takes one look at Matt and breaks all his own rules about mixing business with pleasure.
Matt needs to keep his scholarship, win the National Championship, and survive his asshole father. Instead, he falls in love. Trevor needs to accept that the football god is meant to end up with him rather than a perky cheerleader. It’s time for a "happily ever after" for both of them.

Great voice, good story if slightly overdone 👍
the voice acting makes it, even if the storyline is very obvious I enjoyed that it was from a sports perspective and the characters are reasonably likable despite their lack of development over the course the book. it's a nice feel good book 😁

Loved the story all the way
It’s great to have an affirming story written with humour emotions and sufficient potential trauma as well as read in a way that so well fit in with the book. I laughed loads much to the amusement of people around as I listened on my head phones. Also shed a few tears of emotions too

Worth a listen
Is the story groundbreaking? Definitely not but good narration and a perfectly enjoyable listen, it kept me company on a lazy Sunday of painting.
The book reminds me of watching a chick flick you know it won't win any awards but its tried and tested storylines are comforting since you know you're going to get your happy ending. Its also low in angst despite some of the storylines having room for it they aren't overly developed as in some other stories of the genre I have read or listened to.
i know this doesn't sound like the most enthusiastic review but I really did enjoy it as an easy listen, which is the exact kind of escapism I'm after at the moment. So if thats the kind of thing you're in the mood for within this genre I would recommend.

Superb read
I would sincerely recommend this book to everyone!
It has been a brilliant listen to me, so much so that I hope that the author has plans to write another very soon indeed! It's been a good way to pass the time during the COVID & it's period of many variants when I have been terrified to go out as I serious damage to my right lung as the result of a very serious block clot. I need books as good as this one to fill my time!

One of my favorites.
Perfect book almost ruined by Danielle. She basically sold her friend for her own happiness, manipulated people, accused Mat to use women, treated him like a monster and then just because she thinks two guys together is hot, all was good. Didn't even ask for forgiveness.
Absolutely horrible character.

I could not care less
In my opinion the characters were shallow and the plot was boring. I like more showing and less telling. Describe some feelings, maybe. It would make better sex scenes, for one.
The narrator could not make it thrilling either, so he stuck with bland, making the experience dull.
One more note: with 'overall' I rated the sound quality. This was recorded with very low quality equipment.

thoroughly enjoyable listen.

Usually I don't go for college aged characters, but Matt and Trevor both have old heads on their young shoulders, for very different reasons. Yes Matt comes from money, but there are strings attached. Yes Trevor has suffered after being rejected by his family, but he is pulling himself upwards now.
I loved how things develop between these two! Not just how they initally get together, but how things move along between them, physically as well as emotionally.
This is the first of Blair's work I've listened to, indeed, read so I would like to read or listen to more now!
Greg Boudreaux narrates and the man is a MASTER at his craft! His voices for everyone are easily indentifiable when listening to multi person conversations. The reading voice Boudreaux uses is deep and even and there were no dips or bits I missed when Matt or Trevor got emotional or were thinking (a common theme, trust me!)
4 stars for the book
5 for the narration (cos, you know, Greg!)

A Good True to Life Story based on facts
A well witten story by the author who brings to light the reality of prejudice and injustices faced by gay men. The struggles gay men face personally, in the home, work place and friend and social gatherings. Eveny in this modern day of sexual liberation old morals and prejudices remain.

Nice read
Exactly what it says on the tin. A gay romance novel as steamy as it is touching. Well performed by the narrator.
