Summary

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you had the ability to influence people? Did you know that there are people who have the knowledge and master persuading or manipulating techniques? If you want to master these techniques, then keep reading.

In everyday life, we come across people, we often realize that there are individuals who manage to get attention; their opinions are accepted and really followed. And it often happens to you that when you talk, they don't even realize you're in that room.

Before focusing on how you can influence people, you must learn to recognize the techniques some already use. There is a psychology behind all this and you, too, can know it.

Knowing these facets of psychology, but above all how you identify yourself, will help you analyze the big picture of each situation and put you in the position of control to influence others.

The purpose of this audiobook is to let you know:

  • How to recognize manipulation
  • How to handle manipulation
  • How to recognize these techniques, defend yourself, and use them in your favor
  • How to influence others

This audiobook talks about all these topics and more. And even if you don't know anything about these topics, it will help you in simplicity to know and recognize these techniques and to be able to use them in everyday life.

This is my favorite author's book!

This is my favorite author's book. It shows the story of a young girl who is persuaded to do her duty instead of following her heart. For those of us old enough to remember how we were taught, it will ring a bell. For the others, not so much.

I absolutely love this book!

I absolutely love this book! (My second favorite of the author's after "Pride and Prejudice.") This compact version is a beautiful addition to my library; I love that it's small enough to easily sneak into a purse or bag. Very happy I purchased this for myself.

I would give it thirty stars if I could!

I would give it thirty stars if I could. This is my favorite Austin since it's the one I just finished, but seriously, it has a great deal to offer in the way of insight into character and personality. If the other members of the Elliot family are a bit chiaroscuro, Anne is drawn with delicacy and tact. The book gives a candid insight into the mores and manners of turn-of-the-19th-century England mingled with perceptive comments on human nature and the occasional tart judgment. Mature Austin, like mature Madeira, should be savored slowly by connoisseurs.

The Psychology of Persuasion

It was very thorough and clear in covering a wide variety of situations and how to handle them to avoid or diffuse situations rather that make conflicts and win people to your side

Grateful book!

The author's way of speaking is at first difficult to follow, but her clarity of thought and beauty in expressing it makes the effort worthwhile. I admit to re-listening a paragraph, even a page (or two)) to fully understand her viewpoint and it's imported. She reinforces my belief there are still those that believe Nobility is not a right, it is an obligation.

I adore this book. Recommended!

Gorgeous edition of my favorite author's book. If you're an author's fan but have never listen to this book, you owe it to yourself to listen to it now. The story and characters are wonderful, and the book contains quite possibly the romantic proposal I've ever listen to in my life.

Wow great listen book

This one is considered a classic in its field, and I found it to genuinely be a very good listen, particularly from my perspective as an old HUMINTer. I mean, when you get down to brass tacks, interrogation, interview, debriefing, and managing human sources are all conducted via forms of manipulative human communications - which is many ways can be similar to the psychological approaches used in marketing or by con men.

Very useful book

For selling, it provides insight into the mind of the customer. It’s not intended for malicious intent; in other words “Jedi Mind Tricks”. But, I identified with the principles and theories behind effectiveness of communication, and expressing intent.

I really love this book

This is a phenomenal book, but like most, it’s overly long. This is my second time listening it in its entirety and I’ll definitely listen it again but I must say, I’m extremely happy they put summaries at the end of each chapter.

Pretty listen book

This book reminds me of talking to a really smart lecturer or doctor that has a important message to share but instead of getting to the point they provide endless amounts of stories an examples to “really drive the teaching point home”.

Wow amazing listen book

I believe Cialdini’s work lays a very strong foundation for strong marketing and communications strategies. If you really want to touch, influence and persuade people with your communications, his work is of emminant importance.
