Summary

Right now, 70 percent of Americans aren’t passionate about their work and are desperately longing for meaning and purpose. They’re sick of “average” and know there’s something better out there, but they just don’t know how to reach it.

One basic principle - The Proximity Principle - can change everything you thought you knew about pursuing a career you love.

In his latest book, The Proximity Principle, national radio host and career expert Ken Coleman provides a simple plan of how positioning yourself near the right people and places can help you land the job you love.

Forget the traditional career advice you’ve heard! Networking, handing out business cards, and updating your online profile do nothing to set you apart from other candidates. Ken will show you how to be intentional and genuine about the connections you make with a fresh, unexpected take on resumes and the job interview process. You’ll discover the five people you should look for and the four best places to grow, learn, practice, and perform so you can step into the role you were created to fill.

After listening to The Proximity Principle, you’ll know how to connect with the right people and put yourself in the right places, so opportunities will come - and you’ll be prepared to take them.

Must read, even for those that “think” they have it right.

Ken Colman puts the proximity principle to work with his words and experiences and scenarios that can nearly fit every person where they are at. As an Author myself, I appreciate his heart and honesty he puts forth in this book. Great job Ken. I will be promoting this book to others.

Must read for changing careers

This book is very encouraging for anyone making a career change. Highly recommended.

The author speaks from his own experiences. He has a humble attitude, as one who has stumbled upon these principles and seen their effectivness in his own life, not as an arrogant know it all talking down to you. He is also an excellent orator, which makes the book easy to listen to and digest. 5 stars.

A book that is excellent but not for sissies!

Work the book to get your best work! Read the book alone = wasted time.

Blah....

There wasn't anything meaty in here. No aha moments, alot of cliche stuff. Dave Ramsey bought me here. A waste of money in my opinion.

Short but good

I wish the book had more content, and I wish audible came with a pdf. I love Ken Coleman and what he does though, so I recommend this book, but in print would be better, since there are steps you should write down.

Great Book!

I learned a lot. I'm definitely going to implement these principles in my life. This is a well written book and the author did a great job narrating.
