Summary

"You are now a master workman, and your tools are your words. Be sure you are building constructively."

Using affirmations to focus on improving your health, wealth, and happiness has shown to be a successful strategy in living mindfully. Florence Scovel Shinn's work has been praised and referenced by self-improvement experts as diverse as Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Louise Hay, and Norman Vincent Peale. Shinn uses affirmations and success stories of her students to illustrate the power of the spoken word to attract prosperity, love, and good health. The Power of the Spoken Word is another sequel to The Game of Life and How to Play It.

Wonderful from start to finish

There were no new insights for me, I've been a Truth student for decades, but it was refreshing to hear the wonderful reminders delivered from this powerful and influential teacher.
This book demonstrates why Shinn is one of the bedrocks of New Thought.

Too many Bible verse quotes

Any additional comments?

Not my cup of tea. To me, it seemed like a mixture of conservative Christianity and mysticism. The two don't often blend well but, that's just my opinion. Not everyone's.
