Hoʻoponopono (ho-o-pono-pono) is an ancient Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness. Similar forgiveness practices were performed on islands throughout the South Pacific, including Samoa, Tahiti and New Zealand. Traditionally Hoʻoponopono is practiced by healing priests or kahuna lapa'au among family members of a person who is physically ill.

Modern versions are still performed within the family by a family elder, or by the individual alone. In recent years, thanks to authors such as Joe Vitale and Dr. Hew Len, knowledge of this amazing practice has filtered through into western culture.

This is the latest Craig Beck book I've read. Craig Beck came into my life at a time when everything was going wrong (Divorce, loss of home, Dad dying) and I genuinely couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Happily, things have turned around for me now, and whilst I can't say for sure that this is the reason, I think the positivity that these books inspired in me, helped me to cope with a very difficult time, for which I'm very grateful.
