Profound book

I started taking communion once-a-day awhile ago and I’m finding it very powerful so was keen to listen to this book. I found it excellent and enlightening, revealing new aspects I hadn’t considered.
My only gripe is the narration. Many words are mispronounced including prophetic and Psalms both of which occur frequently in the book and many other words were also mispronounced. I found it very distracting. Did no one edit the book or monitor the recording?
Apart from that I highly recommend it.

What Happened?

I LOVE the whole content of this book. It has great revelation on the subject of the title. However, I was distracted by MANY mispronunciations of words. For instance Psalms became Palms and lymph nodes became lymph noids, and scourging became scour-a-ging. There are many others like Deuteronomy and prophetic were mispronounced. I would really like to see this book be re-narrated and put back out again so that the full content as was intended by the authors can come through. Bill and Beni Johnson have many great books on Audible and the low rating in NO way reflects on them, but SOLELY on the narration. There is mispronunciation throughout the book. To Bill and Beni I would like to say that you have done it again and given us a great book. Just please re-narrate it with someone else who can pronounce the words. Thank you so much.

Excellent content, distracting narration

Loved this book. The narrator has a wonderful voice, but she mis-read multiple words in the text, which was very distracting.

Weak narration doesn't justify the message.

What? Don't they edit these narrations anymore? I'm very familiar with the bible and I'm a little zealous for the Word of God. Although the message of our (we devout Christians) healing and wholeness is in the communion(s) I tend to get a little upset when the narrator mispronounces many simple and well known but important words that are in the Bible. Words like prophetic is pronounced propectic and psalms as palms, Deuteronomy as Doo to rommy and many others? It makes me think that whoever orchestrated this production was doing this half heartedly and was probably doing it only to get paid. The narration does not in any way justify the meaty principle in this book. I would still recommend the book for reading. But brace yourself for a bunch of stupidness.

Great Content, weird recording.

I loved this book, don't get me wrong. The content and the stories and the experience Beni Johnson teaches, truly brings communion to new life. My only complaint, is the reader. She pronounces common words, so oddly! Like the word Prophetic, or Prophetically, also lymph nodes and the word Psalms...not palms. It's really a small thing.

Good book, not so great narrator

The narrator mispronounced a quite a few of the words, which made it distracting. The content of the book was amazing! I would definitely re-read it, just without the narrator.

Narration is not good, but enjoyed the content.

I recommend purchasing a physical or digital version of this book. I enjoyed the content and found it uplifting and encouraging, but the narration was a distraction. Many words were consistently mispronounced throughout the book making it hard to focus.

Narrator

Ms. Brown’s over all performance was great. I thought her voice and expression suited the subject.
But she needs to learn how some Biblical words are pronounced, i.e. Psalms is not palms. There were a few others but Psalms stood out the most.
Maybe I am uneducated and that is the way other more educated cultures pronounce Psalms.
I am not at all turned off by the few errors.
