Story
In The War on the West, international best-selling author Douglas Murray asks: if the history of humankind is a history of slavery, conquest, prejudice, genocide and exploitation, why are only Western nations taking the blame for it? It’s become, he explains, perfectly acceptable to celebrate the contributions of non-Western cultures, but discussing their flaws and crimes is called hate speech. What’s more it has become acceptable to discuss the flaws and crimes of Western culture, but celebrating their contributions is also called hate speech.

Story
Marc Morano’s analysis of the proposed Green New Deal is eye-opening and damning. Morano exposes the program as a far-left agenda filled with progressive policies disguised as a way to save the planet. No matter what the environmental scare-of-the-day may be, Morano says, the same solution is always proposed - and that solution should scare us. Morano clearly reveals how the Green New Deal will lay a path for “global governance”, resulting in less freedom, less sovereignty, massive government bureaucracy, and significant, crippling wealth redistribution.

Since then, politicians have repeatedly committed egregious transgressions against scientific knowledge prefaced by this seemingly innocuous phrase. Yet, as science journalist Dave Levitan reveals, that line is just the tip of the melting iceberg when it comes to rhetorical tools wielded to attack scientific findings that don't cooperate with political agendas.

Have you heard that language is violence and that science is sexist? Have you read that certain people shouldn't practice yoga? Or been told that being obese is healthy, that there is no such thing as biological sex, or that only White people can be racist? Are you confused by these ideas, and do you wonder how they have managed to challenge the logic of Western society? In this probing volume, Helen Pluckrose and James Lindsay document the evolution of the dogma that informs these ideas, from its coarse origins in French postmodernism to its refinement within activist academic fields.

Bjorn Lomborg argues that many of the elaborate and expensive actions now being considered to stop global warming will cost hundreds of billions of dollars, are often based on emotional rather than strictly scientific assumptions, and may very well have little impact on the world’s temperature for hundreds of years. Rather than starting with the most radical procedures, Lomborg argues that we should first focus our resources on more immediate concerns, such as fighting malaria and HIV/AIDS and assuring and maintaining a safe, fresh water supply....

As always, Wood closes with the nature of effective resistance and the tools that can help to achieve success.

It dawned on me one day that most of the scare stories in the media today are based on things that are either invisible, like CO2 and radiation, or very remote, like polar bears and coral reefs. Thus, the average person cannot observe and verify the truth of these claims for themselves. They must rely on activists, the media, politicians, and scientists - all of whom have a huge financial and/or political interest in the subject - to tell them the truth.

Socialism is strangely impervious to refutation by real-world experience. Over the past hundred years, there have been more than two dozen attempts to build a socialist society, from the Soviet Union to Maoist China to Venezuela. All of them have ended in varying degrees of failure. But, according to socialism’s adherents, that is only because none of these experiments were “real socialism”.

Rising sea level is the most profound long-term aspect of climate change. Yet, the public is almost completely unaware of the magnitude of the problem. For three million years sea level regularly moved up and down almost 400 feet with the ice age cycles. Now, after 6,000 years of minimal change, we are entering a new era of rapid sea level rise. In clear, easy-to-understand language, this book explains how, why, and what will happen.

This is an audiobook about fear. Fear of a virus. Fear of death. Fear of losing our jobs, our democracy, our human connections, our health, and our minds. It's also about how the government weaponised our fear against us - supposedly in our best interests - until we were one of the most frightened countries in the world. But why did the government deliberately frighten us. How has this affected us as individuals and as a country? Who is involved in the decision-making that affects our lives? How are behavioural science and nudge theory being used to subliminally manipulate us?

Story
Donald R. Prothero explains the scientific process and why society has come to rely on science not only to provide a better life but also to reach verifiable truths no other method can obtain. He describes how major scientific ideas that are accepted by the entire scientific community (evolution, anthropogenic global warming, vaccination, the HIV cause of AIDS, and others) have been attacked with totally unscientific arguments and methods.
Summary
Less freedom. More regulation. Higher costs. Make no mistake: those are the surefire consequences of the modern global warming campaign waged by political and cultural elites, who have long ago abandoned fact-based science for dramatic fearmongering in order to push increased central planning.
The Politically Incorrect Guide to Climate Change gives a voice - backed by statistics, real-life stories, and incontrovertible evidence - to the millions of "deplorable" Americans skeptical about the multibillion dollar "climate change" complex, whose claims have time and time again been proven wrong.

Informative book, very well narrated.
Poly Tics (many bloodsuckers)
"I believe the liars" Earthlings.
"I'm trying to lie as honestly as i can" Politicians.
This book explains exactly how easy it is to manipulate the mind of a human, first comes the information followed by the action, people have become so programmed by the tool of mainstream media as to accept that it is real without question, the most dangerous thing on earth is a person who acquiesces to propaganda, how do you make millions of people pick up a weapon to kill millions of others without question! WW1, WW2 & all other wars, how to bring peace, don't do as you are told by the mad people.
Caution, bravery & a lack of stupidity required.

Not convinced
It was difficult to listen to the whole book. There are too many false claims, references to debunked conspiracies and inciting adjectives and adverbs resulting in overstating his position.
As seems true in most “debates”, if that’s what this is, that are true or close to it that a whole argument can be constructed on a kernel but result is a statement far off from the truth.
It’s no wonder real scientists are reluctant to waste time debating this journalist and political advisor over such a complex issue.

The other side of the story ...
After being "all in"' for years as a global warm warming and then a climate change believer, this is one eye opening read! I had just finished reading a dire account of what to expect as global climate change progresses It was pretty horrific and yet when I mentioned it to some people they seemed skeptical. This confounded me! So I thought it would be wise to hear what a climate denier had to say. The words shock and surprise best describe my overall sentiment as I listened to this book. My takeaway is that the concept of climate change may have started out as a science, but may now be more of a religion. Too many authorities on climate have withdrawn from the climate change side of the argument for lack of scientific evidence. This is a science that is evolving and one that I plan to watch closely.

The narrator for this book was very good. Easy to listen to and to follow.
The topic under discussion is one that I have found most of the time to be based on feelings rather than on the facts. However, with the evidence that was put forth in this book I now understand better this issue. Dates, publications, and meetings are given to show the deception that is being used in order to gain wealth and control.

IN DEFENCE
I've listened to a few of these PI books to get the other side of the story - I'm allowed to see the other side of the story, right? - and it amuses me to read the obviously leftist slams at the books in these reviews. (I am neither left nor right but have my own opinions). Firstly, because these reviews seem to assume that this is a Rightist work and so condemn it out of hand with wild generalisations and comments like 'garbage' 'crap' 'slanted' etc. If you're even a little adult and even slightly independent in your thinking you will know that all the 'standard' histories going back to the ancient Greeks and beyond are themselves very slanted - by the winners. Why not? If you're a winner you get to at least make yourself right and the other guy wrong - to hell with the facts. But to say the whole work is garbage etc overlooks the fact that at least 70% of the content consists of known or well-established facts or statistics - it is the additional but often missing 30% plus the added bias that makes it different. But this is quite typical of the leftist approach to logic or truth in that they become irrational and hysterical when someone challenges their faulty understanding. Greta Thunberg is an almost perfect example of how this works: she neither knows nor cares about any of the countervailing evidence which is there for all to see if they dare look regarding the fear-mongering subjects of Global Warming/Climate Change. Anyone presuming to approach the subject with an open mind is automatically deserving of scorn and hysterical name-calling. She is a perfect model for this kind of emotional bullying in which the Left delights. The Right has it's own evils too, no question, and they are both guilty of deceptions and falsehoods, but to slam the entirety of The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, for example, because the author had his own views on religion is clearly imbecilic. I think the safest way to gain understanding is to collect as much information on a subject as you need to so you can formulate your own opinion - and dont be afraid to learn more.
Anyway I enjoyed this book mostly. The information should be organised more efficiently but the hysterical competition for the other view of the subject is not organised at all so that is hardly a discouraging criticism. I recommend it, if only to see the blatant scare-monerging which is what these Climate Hoaxes are all about. Yes, some people get funds and make a living peddling the fraud, but those who pay them have a more sinister purpose - to scare us so we dont think.
