The pace he read transported me into the scenes and his tonal variations brought each character to life. He is a very talented voice actor and I would happily recommend books narrated by him.
I loved the duel nature of our so-called hero in this tale; I spent most of the story hating his guts but it was the glimmers of what Ms Blackstream hid beneath that kept me engaged. Our heroine is exactly what I crave in a leading female character; intelligent, resilient and has plenty of gumption.
I enjoyed the leading hook that this story gives us in the epilogue to Ms Blackstream's next series - Blood Realms. Will be adding them to my Amazon wish list too.
