Pilgrim's Progress
Excellent, I will definitely listen again. It helps a Christian understand how he relates to God and how to make choices in his life.

Great Read but Part 1 only
What does Tim Lundeen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I love the clean and crisp narration, not too hurried nor slow, modern English.
Any additional comments?
This would be my first time "reading" Pilgrim's Progress. I thought it was a great read for everyone, not only Christians. Although I found out that there is a part 2.This audiobook is abridged to part 1 only, this does not extend to Christiana (Christian's wife) and her children's pilgrim

Too many voice inflections.
All of the voice alterations for the different characters became a little annoying. got especially tired of the voice for Christian.

I will definitely listen to it again.
I loved it! I am very glad for the updated version otherwise I would have missed out on this important masterpiece. I enjoyed it thoroughly. My only criticism is the characters voices were a bit cartoon-ish at times, especially the main characters. But that won't stop me from listening again. A wonderful work of art.

Excellent narration
The narration of this audio book was outstanding—the narrator did a great job of making subtle distinctions among the voices of the various characters. I also enjoyed C. J. Lovik’s light-handed editing of this classic, although I had actually intended to download a narration of the original. I appreciated the care that the editor used to preserve the original tone of the book, if not always the exact language. I also realized that when listening, it’s helpful to have some of the more obscure words and phrases updated for modern readers, since one doesn’t have the same opportunity to dig into the language of the 1600s in the same manner as when reading in print. It seemed to me that the passages written in poetry were pretty much true to the original.

One of the most read/sold books in world history
There's been a rediscovery of this classic work. I had read an illustrated children's version 35 years ago, so I was familiar with the basic plot, but I picked up this version based on one scholar's recommendation that this editor's modernized language was still true to the original text. It did not leave out or grossly alter key theological components of or dialogue in the original. I've listened to it a couple of times now for myself and read the ebook version to my children. Their interest was captured quickly, and the story prompted a lot of good discussion with them.
