About this listen

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Meghan Quinn comes a new forced proximity, single dad romantic comedy. This steamy, laugh out loud, enemies-to-lovers, small town standalone romance delivers the perfect happily ever after.

What does one do when they completely blow an interview?

If you're me, you pick up a one-night stand with the most gorgeous man you've ever seen..

That's right, after a lousy interview that could have changed everything for me, I headed over to the local small town bar to sulk when the one man I shouldn't want walked in. And when my friend convinced me to take him back to my hotel room, I didn't think about it, I just did it . . . well, I did him.

It was an unforgettable night, but I didn't stay for breakfast. Instead, I got out of there and tried not to think about him again.

Everything was fine until I received a call from the interviewer saying I got the job as the assistant baseball coach at Almond Bay High. I'd be working directly under the one and only Ryland Rowley--my one-night stand.

Now, I'm not only working with him but renting the apartment above his garage. And I have to deal with the fact that he's the man I dream about and can't have while not letting my attraction get in the way of keeping the harmony between us. Sounds easy, doesn't it?

It should have been, except the plan falls apart when my shower breaks, and night after night I have to slip into his house to use the bathroom only to find him in the kitchen, staring me down with those hungry, single dad eyes.

As is the case with this series, I was either laughing out loud or sobbing into my pillow.
Ryland and Gabby have so much in common - and not just Gabby’s brother. No, there’s the one night stand, the fact that he’s her new landlord, oh and let’s not forget, he’s also her boss!
A super fun, super sexy, highly entertaining audiobook. Baseball, along with Ryland’s 4 year old niece (who is so flipping cute), play a huge role in this super fun but at times emotional drama as Ryland and Gabby try to navigate, work, family and each other, in this enemies to lovers, small town romantic comedy.
Narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York - chef’s kiss - utter perfection. They worked so well together and really gave me the Ryland and Gabby feels. Samantha Brentmoor narrated the parts of 4 year old Mac so very well too. Hat’s off to her.

Another winner in the Almond Bay series

The Path to Loving him finally gives us the last Rowley dibling Rylands story. I know Meghan isn't a fan of writing single parent tropes but goodness me this book was just a great listen from start to finish. This story was relatable, realistic, easy to get into and the characters were really likable. It's a light rom com novel with a big heart behind it.
Ryland is a Hero that you can't help but love. A all around great guy and his relationship with his niece Mac is just the cutest thing. Enter Gabby the heroine and her ease and acceptance of Mac and Rylands dedication to her was super endearing. Now this couple's meet cute was fun and super hot and I wondered if it was going to turn into a little bit of an enemies to lovers workplace romance vibe but all of that took a back seat to the home life with Mac.
The whole story from start to finish was like a small town home comfort blanket. The audiobook was well performed and although Sebastian York is not one of my go to male narrators I was surprised at how well he fit Rylands character. Samantha Brentmoor as always slayed as Gabby and the spicey scenes made me blush even listening in privacy of my living room.
Finally THAT epilogue... GAH! A perfect way to end Rylands story in my eyes. Another wonderful Meghan Quinn novel in the bag!

Relatable, comforting rom com goodness

This is an amazing book to listen to.
Don’t realise at first that it was connected to ‘the way I hate him’ but you don’t need to have listen to it as complete standalone.
Would defo recommend listening.
