I used to be the greatest Earth Mage in my world. The head of the entire Order of Architects. But the older you get, the more you come to realize that at some point, you need to retire, so that you can have the chance to enjoy a peaceful life and to cede your place to the young, some of whom have already turned two thousand years old . . .

So that's what I did. I had everything I could ever want, and even more besides. But I failed to account for one thing: during the course of my long life, I'd accumulated too many enemies, and they had decided to spoil my retirement. So they died along with me. I wasn’t expecting much but i got surprised.
I actually liked the character and all the shit he has to go through.

I can see that there are only 4 books so I’ll just let it marinade a bit longer before i buy the rest. I love to listen to the complete series and hate to wait, cuz then I’ll forget about it.

i like that the hunter and the healer and now with the architect are from same previous universe, and we got some tidbit of other possible MC's and possible crossover if ever.

when this book first started, i kind of disliked the main character. but for some reason I just couldn't drop the listen. While the story progressed there was never really a dull moment.

The story is fun, with lots of side turns as we follow the growing pains of the architect. I lost count of the bodies, after a couple of chapters, lots of magic, and politics.
