Summary

New York Times best-selling author Corinne Michaels brings a new endearing friends-to-lovers story to life in the third standalone in the Arrowood Brothers series.

Devney Maxwell has been my best friend since we were 6 years old, but she has no idea I’m in love with her.

Even when I’m on the road playing professional baseball, she’s my home - the only one I’ve ever known. But when I return to Sugarloaf to care for the family farm, I discover she’s trying to talk herself into a life with the wrong man...and I become desperate.

It only takes a single, perfect kiss to change everything.

I have six months to get it right with Devney - to convince her to leave this town and turn that kiss into forever.

I aim to do just that as I spend my days coaching her nephew’s baseball team, fixing up the farm, and loving her with all I have. Finally, it seems like our relationship is secure and we’ll find a way to make it work.

Then tragedy strikes...changing her life forever. She’s needed here more than ever, but as for me - there’s no way I can stay.

I know she’s the one for me, but I might have to let her go....

Sean & Devney's Story

I've been waiting for Sean and Devney's story. They have been best friends since they were children, Devney was on the cusp of engagement, instead she finds herself dumped, and Sean couldn't be any happier. I love Andi Arndt and Joe Arden's narration in this one, Joe of course brings all the emotions in every scene, and they both kill it at all the little kid voices! There were some twists in this installment of the Arrowood Brothers Saga, one I totally did not see coming. One I felt it might be what I thought - no spoilers here tho - it changes the dynamic between Sean and Devney. However, I personally felt the barricade keeping them apart wasn't that much of an issue and Devney made it very large.

“Third time is not the charm”

Usually love this author’s books. But this one was slow and you can predict what is going to happen and how the book ends. The female narrator was great, but the male was not. I would of liked better if andi ardnt did all the narrating for both the female and male characters. The first two books in this series of four was so good....this one not so much!!! I hate to say it but don’t waste a credit on this book. It took me almost 1 week to get through it. I kept falling asleep while listening to this book !! Maybe the next one w the brother that is an actor will be better !!!

Sweet, Sad, Sexy, Satisfying

Corinne Michaels comes through with another excellent book. Sean is the sweetest man on Earth. We should all be so lucky to have one like him. This story will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride that you will want to ride again and again.

Arrowood Brothers

Sean and Deveny have been friends forever but never dated. I loved them together so much I am almost upset they were not together making each other happy forever. Sean seems like such a good man and I loved how committed Deveny was to her family. This is a well told story with characters that are the type of people you want to be friends with. Just the right amount of romance and heat. My only issue was that I think some of the back and forth went on too long. Several conversations seemed to be basically repeated. I recommend this book and the first two in this series. Can't wait to see what book four has in store for us.

Seem to drag on a bit.

The book seem to drag on. I think that may be why I didn’t enjoy the book as much as I thought I would. I also didn’t care for the male narrator. I felt that the story could’ve resolved some of the issues without going on and on.

Sweet Brother Sean Romances His Best Friend Devany

The second eldest Arrowood brother Sean has been fighting his attraction and love with Delaney Maxwell, his childhood best friend for years, so when he comes home for his 6 month time on the family farm he decides to kiss her and make his move. She is attracted to him but resisting a relationship because she knows she would have to expose a secret that embarked her and if serious she would have to move from family and friends. This story is a basic romance but needs editing. Sean is a sweet, considerate guy whose only issue is that he is a professional baseball player based in Florida who travels frequently. Devaney comes off as self-centered, needy and more than willing to come up with excuses Why she can’t move to Florida to be with Sean. Part of the drama is also very predictable. Great narration though.
