Summary

I'm not your average girl.

My best friend is my switchblade. My favorite hobby is using it on the cruel, the abusive, and anyone who gets on my bad side. I'm a convicted murderer with a chip on my shoulder and a dangerous lack of restraint.

And then there's Zak.

His rap sheet makes mine look tame. The bounty on his head is worth more money than I'll ever make, and the deadly fae that shadow his every step wield more power than I'll ever know.

He's the Crystal Druid, and his first mistake was setting foot on my turf. His second was saving my life.

And his final mistake will be failing to realize that however dark, however ruthless, however broken he is...I'm worse.

suprisingly good

what at the outset apears to be yet annother dirirative, like that of Torys later books. is instead a deligt well foreshadowed and grounded in the established mythos.

it is worth noting i do not recomend this book as your first. but it follows upp nicely on several questions established abaut this worls Spiritaulis class.

My favorite Guild Codex book yet

I was definitely wanting to read about what happened next with the Crystal Druid but I wasn’t expecting such a rich new story line. Marie seamlessly blends old and new storylines in a way that never feels forced or recycled. She doesn’t just use previous book as a jumping off point, but adds new depth to the fascinating world she created. I cannot wait for the next book!

The one and only Crystal Druid

This is a fun audio book and Fans off Annette Marie will not be disappointed.
I did guess early on who the Boy, would turn out to be , but that may have been intended.
In someways Saber is more a protagonist. Not always likable although understandable..
I am very much looking forward to the next book in the series.
I enjoyed the interesting character developments and its always fun returning to Vancouver a city I lived in long ago.
I am an avid horse woman so can easily be put off by inaccurate equine references but this delightful book did not set me on edge at all.
At 70 I may be one of the author’s older fans , but its bard to beat her talent for urban fantasy, and gets to be on my hot reads list with Ilona Andrews.

Another great piece

I am a fan of Annette Marie’s work and the world she has crafted. This story expands further on her world but still ties to her previous work. Intriguing mystery, thrilling action, and heartbreaking tragedy combine beautifully in her latest novel leaving me wanting more.

Grips you by the hand for a thrilling ride!

Annette Marie has created a world of adventure. I never want the end of this world! I thought this was all about Zak, but wow, it is mostly about a new character and takes place after all the other books printed up to now. Maybe Zak will gain redemption. Maybe he will die. or Maybe he will continue to defy everything put against him.

But what is up with Sabre Rose?? WHAT A RIDE.

Whhhhyyyy????

Cris once again brings this book alive with a wonderful performance. The story is delightful, dark, and yet hard to walk away from. But for my fellow listeners.... no spoilers here but Annette, please finish the sequel to this.... SOON.

So Good!

The only bad thing about this book is that it had to end. It is going to be an excruciating wait for the next book. Such a great introduction to Saber Rose and so many questions I can't wait to see answered.

Best book in Guild Codex yet!

Great intro to Saber, and I love her with Zac! This was a fast paced book with lots of action, character development, and world building. Can't wait for the next book!

Another great guild codex series

Good start to a new series. It started off a little slow and focused heavily on character development (which makes sense for the introduction of a new character dynamic that will last through a series), but then picked up around the middle. Also definitely worth waiting for the audio version. Now I'm invested, can't wait for the next book!

Great start to a new series!!

I just finished The One And Only Crystal Druid, I had to wait for the Audio, but boy am I glad I did. Cris Dukehart does an amazing job with the narration, bringing to life all of the players in this amazing book.

Annette Marie again presents us with a cast of characters that are not just interesting but that we begin to fall in love with. I love everything written in this universe but I think this is going to be my favorite. I feel like I’ve waited forever for this book but it was definitely worth the wait.
