Fern had recently entered her 60s when a series of life-altering events threw her into the eye of the storm. Both her parents passed away, her 20-year marriage ended, and the pandemic was looming.

I just loved Fern’s honest, funny journey through life, I say funny as she made me laugh several times along with the real and not quite so funny parts of life.

I really liked that this book was narrated by Fern herself, which adds to the warmth and humour throughout. She is so real and relatable that it was like listening to an old friend. As an almost 50 year old nearing the empty nest phase, this was like a little treasure chest of warmth and wisdom to me. Thank you so much Fern x

I can honestly say that it felt as if Fern was sat having coffee and chatting to me alone throughout this book. I know we could be friends if only our Hampshire and Cornish counties were closer!!
Ferns written words come to life with her tales from the past and her wise words for the future. I could relate to all of the advice - and I’m fast approaching my 60s! A true inspiration.
