Summary
One very ordinary day, Maya Flowers sees a new commuter board her train. Maya knows immediately and irrevocably that he is 'the one'. But the beautiful man on the train always has his head in a book and never seems to notice Maya.
Eventually she plucks up the courage to give the stranger a note asking him out for a drink. And so begins a story of missed opportunities and finding happiness where you least expect it.

An OK book
Had high hopes for this book as there are so many great reviews but I have to admit I got a bit bored. The idea was good but it was so long winded that I kept wanting to skip pages and move the story along but I stuck with it and although predictable I did enjoy the ending.

Enjoyable
A lovely romantic concept but a bit overworked. With regard to the actual recording, the chapter numbers don't marry up to the book and the "male" voices are excruciating! But I still enjoyed it (just) and can imagine it being made into a film.

Like a predictable Woman’s Weekly story
I honestly feel a bit sheepish writing this, having sat through the whole of this turgid claptrap. After all, for some ridiculous reason, I listened right until the end!
I guess that deep down I hoped that all those glowing reviews would be correct. That somehow there would be an amazing plot twist to redeem the achingly banal, twee storyline.
But no. It appears that even in 2018, publishers are still publishing stories which are this predictable and mediocre. And we still accept them with high praise.
Picture a serialised version of a love story buried deep within a throwaway magazine for septuagenarians. Then you will come some way close to this.
The only redeeming feature is the narration, which does deserve recognition for keeping me listening.

Lovely story
I did like the story, but the voices really put me off. There was also a background noise like this was recorded in a room with the sound of an air conditioner. The chapters didn’t match up to the ones selected either. I would select 13 a d the voice would say “chapter 12”.

Sweet story of missed connections
Mia is a pleaser. And at the beginning of the book I thought I’d come to hate her and her constant looking out for everyone but herself, though after a while she grew on me and threw in a few huge plot twists.
The other characters in this book - including the huge influence of ‘train man’ turn this book into something that could have been very one sided into a charming and sweet story. By the end I thoroughly enjoyed it and feel like the characters are friends.

light hearted easy listening
kept going back time and time again. when Miya stands up to the bull then follows her dream, not too sure about male voice interpretation would of been better with a male voice. l still enjoyed listen to this story.

Read beautifully. Just the right amount of soppy.
One of the best narrators I've heard on here so far. This book made me laugh, made me cry, and made me happy. Just the right amount of soppiness.
