This is a Meet Cute with no further plot. There is no character development, the characters have no flaws so don’t make any mistakes to build a plot around. They kiss relatively early and then are happily together for the remainder of the story. The ‘villain’ could be easily dealt with by a restraining order and nothing is really made of this storyline, it all gets resolved easily with no challenge, threat or fuss. There are opportunities for a plot such as why she doesn’t want a restraining order, or some sort of will-they-won’t-they between the couple, but nothing materialises. The most interesting thing is the window into Cuban family life.
