Amazing short story

I received this book for free at my request but the opinion is of my own. Such an amazing story that captures you from the beginning. It definitely could have gone longer but Hannibal Hills makes anything he narrates amazing. His voice lures you in and never lets you go.

In this tale, we find out more details on the demon that Professor Thistlequick and Jake Shillingsworth come across in “The Clockwork Magician”. Entertaining Mystery Intrigue!

This book series along with its short stories are a win-win always! This story gives insight to the demon that was rescued by the Clockwork Magician. When I listened to the other story I wondered about the story behind the demon that had pledged her help. This story gives the background and is quite entertaining. This is a series I quite enjoy and would highly recommend.

Captivating Story with Great Narration

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and all opinions expressed herein are my own. This is a prequel for The Clockwork Magician. It is a standalone story and can be enjoyed without having read The Clockwork Magician. It is a whimsical, magical, imaginative tale with enjoyable, quirky characters. The story takes place in London - a different London than you would imagine. It is a fully developed world with magic, demons, interesting curiosity shops, and other dimensions which together created a captivating story. The narrator, Hannibal Hills, was wonderful, as always. He is an incredible narrator who draws you in and keeps you entertained throughout.

Brilliant Prequel to the Clockwork Magician

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review. This prequel short story features Professor Thistlequick participating in a quick errand which sees his caught up in an adventure that will see him confront demons - both literal and evil men who do evil things. The setting is victorian steampunk with a generous helping of magic. Eldritch Black brings you right into the story which serves as a standalone story as well as setting up a few chekov's guns for the Clockwork Magician. It's an enjoyable tale that asks interesting questions of its reader while still being accessible to any YA readers. Hannibal Hills is always a delight to listen to.
