Summary
Cassiopeia Vitt takes center stage in this exciting novella from New York Times best-selling authors M. J. Rose and Steve Berry.
In the French mountain village of Eze, Cassiopeia visits an old friend who owns and operates the fabled Museum of Mysteries, a secretive place of the odd and arcane. When a robbery occurs at the museum, Cassiopeia gives chase to the thief and is plunged into a firestorm.
Through a mix of modern-day intrigue and ancient alchemy, Cassiopeia is propelled back and forth through time, the inexplicable journeys leading her into a hotly contested French presidential election. Both candidates harbor secrets they would prefer to keep quiet, but an ancient potion could make that impossible.
With intrigue that begins in Southern France and ends in a chase across the streets of Paris, this magical, fast-paced hold-your-breath thriller is everything you've come to expect from M. J. Rose and Steve Berry.

Worst Narrator Ever where is Scott Brick?
This has to be the worst choice ever from Steve Berry to have chosen this narrator for his story. I have been a loyal reader/listener of Steve Berry's books. I even met him at a book signing. But this clearly is a very bad choice for narrating your book especially given that its part of a series. She is absolutely the wrong voice, tone and accent to portray the characters in the book. Very disappointed to say the least. if I could return the book I would.

Hurt to finish this book
I'm a huge fan of Steve Berry. I have read or listened to all but one other of his books and it's in my wishlist. Steve you should not have let them put your name on this book. I was excited to hear about Cassiopeias adventures but I had to try three different times to make it through this book and it's short. The story was not the usual Steve Berry formula it was like a cross of some kind of crappy romance novel and the narrator was putting me to sleep.

disappointed
I eagerly awaited this book about Cassiopeia and it was a total let down. Not only a confusing and implausible story line but the narrator was sickening. This was not the Cassiopeia I am used to. Why Berry wasted his time with this book I have no idea. I have heard this narrator before and no matter what she reads, it does not enhance the story. Her voice just makes me want to say "Shut the f___ up". This novella only served to enforce my abhorrence of time travel stories.

Couldn't get past the narration.
Story took second place to narration, and a plot and main character that was sexist and one dimensional. I don't remember Cotton Malone having video chats with his girlfriend, or entire chapters of dreams/hallucinations of sexual encouters and seductions. It was all about the mystery, one that was usually fairly compelling. I've read ALL of Steve Barry's books. This was my first Barry audiobook. That's it for me and this author.

I am accustomed to Steve Berry’s books being less “out there”. More believable. I also did not particularly like the narrators voice and cadence.

Museum of Mysteries
The joint writing of Berry and Rose continues to hit home runs. Cassiopeia adventures hook the reader (listener) within the first paragraph and keeps you on the edge of your seat up to the climax and through the anticlimax. Not sure the order, but Lake of the Learning is another Berry and Rose story to get. Cassiopeia as a stand-alone main character is the perfect heroine. I know I’ll be looking forward to many more works from these terrific writers.
