Özet

Ben Cooper and his team from Derbyshire Constabulary's E Division return in this gripping new title from the master of the genre.

For the Peak District hamlet of Shawhead, there's only one road in and one road out. Its handful of residents are accustomed to being cut off from the world by snow or floods. But when a lorry delivering animal feed is found jammed in the narrow lane, with no sign of the driver except for a blood-stained cab, it's the beginning of something much more sinister....

Kept me up into the early hours…..excellent performance, well plotted and great character development. Thank you Messrs Booth and Rogers.

What did you like most about The Murder Road?

Unusual murder scene, which led to some problems for our hero.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Murder Road?

The accident with the bridge.

Have you listened to any of Mike Rogers’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Narrates well

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Neither, but felt claustrophobic about the death scene.

Any additional comments?

My enjoyment was marred by several glitches in the recording, where the narrator had stumbled and this was not edited out. Also some phrases were repeated. I found myself listening for errors for a time-annoying.

Twisting and turning road

Could be quite a good listen, but this download has too many recording issues - numerous chunks of the book repeated too many times.

Too many recording issues.

Good to have a new character added in the mix. And , finally, less of Diane Fry and the increasingly unbelievable animosity she has to World in general!

Interesting story line
