Really enjoyed this! Despite being a delicate subject, I thought it was written and narrated superbly!

It is worth a credit JUST for the scene with the horse in the stable!! I laughed so hard and loudly at 2am, I woke my husband up!! Really tickled me pink and was worth the credit for that scene alone!!! So the rest of the story was a bonus! Lol

Off to read book three! :-)

I love these Arrowood books. this was even better than the first.

After the first Arrowood book I was really looking forward to the follow up.
Unfortunately I was very disappointed, the characters are great and the narration by Malk Williams is yet again superb. However this is one of the most boring books I have heard in as long time.
I really struggled to finish it.

It's a lot better than most of the dross in this genre and the writer is familiar with the concept of humour, which is a nice change, too.
The narrator isn't up to much and a decent one would have lifted it considerably. He's not awful, but he makes so many fairly basic pronunciation errors than even non-pedants will become irritated after the first hour. There are far worse narrators, but it's still a bit of a shame.
