Fear changes everything

After a mysterious mist envelops a small New England town, a group of locals trapped in a supermarket must battle a siege of otherworldly creatures . . . and the fears that threaten to tear them apart.

Stephen King's sinister imagination and the astonishing 3-D sound surrounds you with horror so real that you'll be grabbing your own arm for reassurance. In the impenetrable mist, hearing is seeing - and believing. And what you're about to hear, you'll never forget.

King's imagination is vast
As classic as King's novels are, his shorter fiction is just as gripping
Popular fiction's most prolific terror-monger's . . . genius remains in the conjuring of evil out of ephemera, of a malevolent universe lurking behind the Walmart shopping trolley banality of everyday, small-town America

The amount of money you pay for an hour is ridiculous.
I wouldn’t waste your money

Waste of Time

One of the very rare occasions I'll say the movie was better than the book.
This is more of a audio performance rather than your standard audiobook, and the recording is terrible. As someone has pointed out, Stephen Kings wrtitting doesn't need sound effects and other gimmicks. On top of that, the levels are so off, it's almost unlistenable. I listen to my books in the car, one minute it's too low, next a huge bang will happen for no apparent reason, so you turn it down, next your right back to someone whispering and you can't hear a damn thing again.
I get the effect they're trying to go for, but it really doesn't work.
Save your credit, go for another King book.

Not as good as the movie.

I really love this story from the books and movie and I enjoy dramatised audiobooks. A lot of Stephen King books are narrated really boring so this was a brilliant find. I loved the dramatisation of this and the audio was great. I listen on noise cancelling headphones and was able to pick up the background and conversations ok apart from small parts that were whispered. It would have been great if it was longer. I could have listened to this for hours.

Disappointed it was so short

It was over dramatised so hard to visualise at times. And missed some of context in the actual written story. Disappointing.
