A good Ms Marple story well narrated. Enjoyed it as it naturally had lots of twists and turns. Christie is best at painting social pictures of people places and situations.

Disappointed that this is the only narration available. Not a relaxing voice for listening to, I’m constantly wincing at the vocal cry and her character voices are extremely irritating. Some narrators can make you float away into the story but Ms Fox sounds a student forced to read aloud in class. However, Dame Agatha doesn’t disappoint and I have no complaints about the story.

VOCAL FRY!!!

A very good Agatha Christie story, not simply for the murder mystery itself but for the social context and the examination of changing times. Miss Marple is wonderful, particularly in her dealings with her annoying lady companion Miss Knight. Emilia Fox also does a very good job of narrating the story.

An excellent mystery

I took a little while to get into this one, but when the plot unfolded it didn’t disappoint! It was so enjoyable and has a charm that is addictive- ingenious and funny, keeping you guessing right up to the end. Emilia Fox is a fab narrator- managing so many different characters with ease.
I am looking forward to listening to the next.
