Summary

Do you have a person in your life that is just a little off and by a little off, I mean that they're full blown strange?

Are they living like an emperor in their world and using everyone around them like pawns? Are they quite possibly the smartest person you know but not living a life that is actually fulfilling by normal standards? Are they nice to you, but only when they really want something from you?

You may have found yourself a sociopath.

Awful, appallingly badly written and narrated

Terrible "book". Colloquial in its writing. Poorly researched. Not supported. Over simplified. Broad assertions and suggestions which are manifestly false or br followed through. Dreadful. Don't waste your money.

Inaccurate but mildly entertaining

This person needs to do more research and data study on this very serious topic. Sociopaths are NOT reformable. In fact when you try, you are simply giving them new tools to use on other victims. There was an extensive study done on this on the 60's. This is a very real problem, but there are other books that are more helpful and accurate.

the author doesn't know anything about the subject

the author doesn't know anything about the subject, it is worthless, there are too many good books on the subject by credible authors so don.t waste your time on this one, just look at the author's other titles to realize how bogus she is.

Spot on. Amazing info. Thank you.

I have personally dealt with several sociopaths. Sometimes several at once. This book is a great way to start understanding and fighting back. I'll consider this book the basics of sociopaths. I loved all of it. It equipped me to better fight against Sociopaths. Thank you.

Not clinical

What would have made The Mind of a Sociopath better?

I got this because I thought that it dealt with antisocial personality disorder. It really just looks like someone watched a lot of crime shows and then wrote a book about it . Terrible

Would you ever listen to anything by Michele Gilbert again?

No

What about Gary Roelofs’s performance did you like?

He was great but slow

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

No

Some short good information

I like the simple clear comparison between sociopath & psychopath. I also appreciated the fuller extent of your explanation of what is a sociopath.
