Emotional and funny

Simple but fantastic
A boy called Tom is rushed to hospital after being hit on the head with a cricket ball he meets the midnight gang who let him join there gang matron runs the children's ward but hates children as well as Tom's headmaster he hates kids as well the midnight gang is George Amber Robyn Tom and the porter who created the midnight gang 50 odd years ago and now is a adult

Adults and children alike
I love a David Walliams children’s book, my kids are to big to enjoy it ,however it’s my guilty secret.
There is so much adult humour in the book and will appeal to family’s listening on a long car journey.

I got bored of it in the middle
