Summary

Oh, those naughty supernaturals....

Ian Dex fights fiendish ubernaturals, battles smoking hot mages, and can seduce a succubus in an instant. He's also the chief of the Las Vegas Paranormal Police Department (PPD).... where it's always crazy, completely unpredictable, and loaded with snark.

A new demon-powered mage has arrived on the Strip and he's quite a tool. Worse, he looks like a flippin' Chippendales model.... and he knows it.

Ian Dex and his crew have to cut their way through a megalomaniac vampire, a lunatic werewolf, a seriously annoying fae, and a buttload of demons in order to take down Captain Hot Pants.

All in a day's pay.... except that they work at night.

If you like Jim Butcher, Domino Finn, Michael Anderle, Rick Gualtieri, Orlando A. Sanchez, K.F. Breene, Shayne Silvers, Ilona Andrews, Brad Magnarella, Patricia Briggs, or Kim Harrison you'll have a blast with the first book in the Las Vegas Paranormal Police Department series.

Note: This audiobook contains adult themes, adult language, tons of innuendo, and dirty jokes. You have been warned!

fight, powerup

For people who enjoy : Fight, fight, power up - fight, fight, discover new power. talk about sex a lot and drink.

But I wonder how they going to manage to invent a new power everytime they invent a new bigger monster. I get tired of it because I'm not in it for the fighting but the story.

I bought this because I enjoyed the Platoon F Saga but could not enjoy this. It didn't make me laugh.

A book not. worth finishing. I moved on.

I would pay money not to have these folks in my living room. Why import them? Same reason I bailed 10 minutes into Borat and Bridesmaids. If its tacky or crass in my view, even if popular, I bail.

Good Story..Not The Best Narrator

I'm not exactly sure if I'm picky, one of the co-authors was doing a "voice" or what, but i didn't dig the style of the narration. Story wise, I'm ok with a Vegas PD guy being a amalgom (which by the way.. i feel like he said waaay too much) The characters were cool like the nerdy sounding wizard, the werebear coroner (my personal favorite) etc. If I could I'd give this book like a 2.75 or 3.0 rating. The story wasn't bad, bad the narration & some of the weird ways that the chapter seemed to end abruptly weren't something I loved.
