Outstanding, riveting, fascinating!
I’ve read (but mainly listened) to an awful lot of stories during my time.
This is a superb story.
It is tightly written with fascinating concepts, explores the beautiful, but ever so vulnerable human condition, and builds to a climax that gives you all the answers (pun intended).
Excellent, highly recommended!

twist after twist after twist
I love this audiobook. Just when I thought I knew what was going-on, a new layer of story was revealed. superbly well structured narrative, engaging characters well delivered by Luke. A triumph

an interesting idea executed well
nicely developed and revealed central idea that stays focussed on developing the main ideas and characters in a satisfying way. shorter than expected, but that kept it engaging all the way through. would def read more from the author.

There's a twist! What a twist! Don't skip ahead!!
As usual Luke's story grabs you from the get go and carries you, sometimes kicking and screaming, through a literary landscape so real and populated with vivid characters that, when he's done with you and he's deposited you at the other end you feel, well, emotionally wrung out isn't quite it because you're elated and energized and wanting more. Dammit man, this tale shook me up and I love it! What's next?

Great speculative fiction
Luke really knows his genre with his novels. There have been some really twisty stories, and this one is no different. You think you know where it's going, and then it changes path. 5 stars from me overall, but I've dropped a star for performance. I understand Luke's passion for having his books read as he sees them in his head. I can think of a few narrators who could have done a brilliant job. That's not to say Luke hasn't. It fits the narrative perfectly.

Short but sweet
I don't normally like shorter novels and avoid them as I assume they will seem rushed
this book however is the perfect length , its a mystery throughout and a satisfying answer
also very well read by the author

Enjoyable time tale
Luke Smitherd is on form in this one - I highly recommend it. I really like it when the author reads his or her own work on audible - cuts out all the actorisms.
