Excellent book
The only negative I could find was the fact it made me want to find a book on every single case mentioned in here! Excellent book

Interesting for dipping into, but easily bored of
The stories of each of the murders are interior but very brief. If you know anything about the murders already you end up saying to yourself 'but what about the other victims' or 'but there was the whole thing with the bloody clothes' etc.
And worse than that, the otherwise excellent reader, has clearly never left his house, watched any American TV or films or had a producer who tells him how to pronounce US place names. I ended up shouting Puh-kip-see at him every time he got it wrong. And Joliet prison is not pronounced like it's in French. Drove me mad.

Bizarre but by no means interesting
A dreary unrelenting onslaught of short renditions of superficial facts about hundreds of morbid and gruesome crimes, I was hoping for some respite in the form of the odd white collar crime or perhaps some deeper exploration into the story of the various characters, but no such luck. I would have been more enthused reading pages of google search results on murders.

Lives up to the title
Most entries are very detailed, though some leave you wondering about outcomes and loose ends. Overall a good listen.

Interesting within Limits.
This books contains a fascinating and bewildering array of true life crimes stories that cover a wide range of abhorrent human activity. The anti-China bias exhibited throughout is ashame. The author makes dubious statement about executions in China but says nothing about the Death Penalty as used in the US, Japan, India or Saudi Arabia (all allies of the US). Recently, the Vatican Ethnics Community sent representatives to China to investigate allegations (made by the US-supported Falun Gong Cult) that organs are harvested from executed criminals and transplanted into rich people. The Vatican Reported stated that as the Chinese health service is free at the point of use for everyone - no one has to pay for any medical treatment. Furthermore, as in the West, organs for transplant are gained from those who 'volunteer' their body parts after their deaths. Therefore, the Vatican declared this story to be 'false' - and yet the author of this book perpetuates this myth as a fact in the story of the murder of Dr Chang. This casual racism may be added to the author's skewed grasp of the history of the Soviet Union and the Communist Bloc, etc. Much of the crime he relates from these areas post-1991 are the product of the reintroduction of predatory capitalism and the suffering this ideology causes amongst those subjected to it.

Boring boring boring
Misleading title. Maybe few stories could be described as bizarre. Everyone could write such a book. Looks like the author collected random articles from the newspapers without any details. Just few sentences about each story. Waste of time.

Not keen on the narration
Narrator has a great voice but not keen on the accents and flippant style for such serious subjects. Also would have preferred more detail. Some odd pronunciations. Probably just personal taste.
