I somehow listened to this audiobook in the span of three days despite working full time. Basically, whenever I wasn't at work, I was listening to The Maid! It even ate into my sleep, I just couldn't stop listening!

The narrator in particular was 'delightful' and really brought Molly, the main character, to life. I dare say this is probably a book better to listen to rather than read!

The plot is quite simple but somehow I didn't really care because I became so invested in Molly and the rest of the characters. While it's not explicitly stated, Molly is strongly implied to be on the spectrum so it's nice to see neurodivegent representation in books.

Highly recommended!

I didn’t fancy this book to start with because of the name but when I got into it I quickly realised that it was something very special both in the way the process is placed and also by the brilliant manner in which the narrator portrays the story with absolutely the right internation is at all times I was devastated when I Finished it because I wanted to go on forever. Just loved this book. Wonderful piece of writing. Eked it out because I just didn't want it to finish. A long time since I felt such a connection with a fictional character.
Hurry up and get going with your next opus Nita...can't wait!

A Joy.
