Continues to get better

Nice series. One of the better and more realistic versions of the crusades. Not nice, not pretty, not to any good purpose. I look forward to the next book.

As good as the first, if not better.

Rich, vibrant, cinematic and real; grim, dark, humorous and emotional. Yes, all of those things and more. Highly recommended!

Too much assassin plot that drags on

Good character growth but the assassin bit drags on too long in the book. Could have had character growth without it. Solid 4/5 would recommend. Not quite as good as the Ill-Made Knight
