Slow burn , the book is slow to start as it sets down the framework for the story and develops the character’s background , but is fast paced as it progresses . Good listen

Detail excellent keeps you thinking throughout and always has you guess as to what is coming next. A master storyteller.

I wanted to enjoy this book, unfortunately the narration made it very difficult to listen to. As with book 1 in this series the importance of having a good narrator is clear. I can see why the author changed in later books.

Don't mess with the IRA

Great storyline from the outset, 2 stores running alongside each other coming together in brilliant fashion towards the end, still a few loose ends so look forward to exploring Stephen Leather titles

Edge of the seat

Good story and I liked the characters however the narrater's impression of an irish accent had little resemblance to the real thing.
