I'm an avid horror fan and this is honestly the scariest book I've read / listened to in years. Moves at a good pace, relatable characters, and full of tension and peril. Not for the faint of heart! Highly recommend!

Scariest book for years!

Why describe something in 5 words when you can describe it in 10? I think the author must have just got a new thesaurus.
An average story that was drawn out to the point where I kept losing interest. Well narrated, but I won't bother with the sequels.

4 hours too long

The narration is excellent but the story is all over the place and in my opinion it's nowhere near as good as the other reviews suggest. A hideous crime swept under the carpet and none of the victims friends come forward to tell the police what they saw. Unbelievable. A lot of the story just bored me. I understand how brilliant Steven King is,but that doesn't give anyone the right to copy his formula and expect similar results in storytelling.
