Michelle McGagh has been writing about money for over a decade. You'd think that would make her a whiz with her own cash, right? Wrong! Spending with abandon and ignoring bank statements were her modus operandi. Just because she wasn't in serious debt apart from her massive London mortgage, she thought she was in control. She wasn't. Something needed to be done ,but rather than cut back here and there, Michelle's approach was more radical.

Hygge is a Danish word used when recognizing a trend or moment, regardless of whether or not together with company, either in home or outdoors, rare or habitual as cozy, beguiling, or unique. It only requires cognizance, specific gradualness, as well as the capacity to become available, understand, and appreciate the present. In this audiobook, I briefly explain the benefits, basics, and details of this lifestyle.

Summary
Penguin presents the unabridged downloadable audiobook edition of The Little Book of Hygge, written and read by Meik Wiking.
Denmark is often said to be the happiest country in the world. That's down to one thing: hygge.
'Hygge has been translated as everything from the art of creating intimacy to cosiness of the soul to taking pleasure from the presence of soothing things. My personal favourite is cocoa by candlelight....'
You know hygge when you feel it. It is when you are cuddled up on a sofa with a loved one or sharing comfort food with your closest friends. It is those crisp blue mornings when the light through your window is just right.
Who better than Meik Wiking to be your guide to all things hygge? Meik is CEO of the Happiness Research Institute in Copenhagen and has spent years studying the magic of Danish life. In this beautiful, inspiring audiobook, he will help you be more hygge: from picking the right lighting and planning a dinner party through to creating an emergency hygge kit and even how to dress.
Meik Wiking is the CEO of the Happiness Research Institute in Copenhagen. He is committed to finding out what makes people happy and has concluded that hygge is the magic ingredient that makes Danes the happiest people in the world.

Beautifully written book
I didn't have any expectations of this book as it was recommended from a friend and I didn't understand the concept of Hygge. However after listening to this on a lazy cold Sunday afternoon next to a roaring fire I really enjoyed the ideas, with lots of inspiration on how to make life warmer, more engaged and happy. A great introduction to the Hygge lifestyle
After hearing so much about this book, I have always wanted to read it, but I also know that books like these (lifestyle) will take me forever to finish it. So an audio book is a great alternative to get the information you want and finishing it in an efficient manner.
Meilk Wiking's narration is clear with a very soothing voice. There are not that many chapters so you can go through it quite quickly. I have already listened to this book twice and will listen to it again soon.
