Summary

“It’s a magic wardrobe. There’s a wood inside it, and it’s snowing! Come and see,” begged Lucy.
Lucy has stumbled upon a marvellous land of fauns and centaurs, nymphs and talking animals. But soon she discovers that it is ruled by the cruel White Witch, and can only be freed by Aslan, the great Lion, and four children…

As fresh as the day Lewis wrote it
I grew up with my dad reading Narnia to me, then reading it myself. Now I'm sharing it with my own son.
Lewis wrote his allegorical series decades before I was born get the tales are timeless, the characters engaging and his message timely.

wonderful, wonderful, wonderful
this is a lovely, British reading of the story. Michael bond uses fabulous accents (irish for Mr tumnus) to tell this story, without being over the top.

wonderful book
I love the story and grew up reading the books.
I found the narrator difficult to listen to at times as he would speak so quietly and then suddenly shout. will choose a different narrator for the next book in the series.
