Summary

It was said that after the Blessed Sacrament, the Lord was most pleased to dwell in the heart and soul of this saint. As a result St. Gertrude the Great (1256-1302) is the only one who has the name "great" in her title.

A classic of Catholic literature, this book records the life and the revelations of St. Gertrude, a German Benedictine nun. In these revelations she is given a clear picture of heaven along with advise for those seeking to advance in the spiritual life.

The revelations are said to be authorized by the Lord himself at the end of the work and are officially recognized by the church.

I ma SO disappointed!

Like so many audiobooks in this series the reading utterly blitzes the value of the text.
This is an important text by the only woman saint with the honorificC of ‘The Great’ and the monotonous and sanctimonious tone adopted by the reader makes it almost impossible for me to concentrate which negates the good intention of the publisher wishing to bring these unique writings to public attention. I am so disappointed.

Really hard to understand the voice

The narrator voice seems to be speed up and with a high pitch.

I find it hard to understand anything it seems there is no commas or stops.
