A wonderful, evocative story

One of my favourite books. A few mispronounced words here and there, but hardly surprising. All-in-all, a great audio book.

A great historical book

An great work of American historical literature narrated very poorly. I'd wanted to enjoy this book for a long time. With vision problems, I thought the audio version would be an enjoyable experience but the narration was so cumbersome as to ruin the book. It makes me doubt the entire audio book medium.

Insulting Narration

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

No one. This performance is an embarrassment and is insulting to anyone who is an English speaker older than 6 years of age. This performance does not hold up to librevox standards, but sounds like someone in a basement. This was just plain horrible. The narrators use of different voices for different characters is insulting and pronunciations are beyond ridiculous.

Tinny and Unpleasant

The recording is tinny and unpleasant, a terrible rendition. Extraneous sounds in the background and poor pronunciations throughout. I couldn't even finish chapter 2.
