Grandson of a mob boss and heir to the D'Antoni power and fortune, Christopher wants to choose good over evil—at least at first.
Peer pressure, addiction to pleasure, selfishness, and poor choices steer him in the opposite direction. God and good friends intervene, but will it be too late?
Christopher's parents believe he is a miracle child who can do no wrong, sent by God as a special blessing with a special purpose. But who is this boy? Is he really all that special? Although his family thinks he is, his friends are not so sure...
The Last One is the story of the events that bring Christopher to the brink of a choice that will impact not only his life, but the lives of the entire existing human race.
Cheryl Thomas has won several national awards for writing, including first prize for the Short Story contest sponsored by Xulon Press.
