Summary

There's no picking who you love...nor getting rid of them. Murphy Malone loves his orchard, his mother, and his dog. Life is great until he can't stop thinking about what he's missing—someone to share it all with. When he realizes that his love for his best friend, Jesse Carver, runs deeper than the bonds of friendship, it just makes things worse. The problem—Jesse Carver is the straightest man he's ever known. Only time and distance can ease the ache, but what do you do when your loyal best friend follows you to the gay singles cruise you fled to in an attempt to escape your feelings? Tropes: idiots in love, awakening, friends to lovers, forced proximity

I have never laughed out loud so much from one book. The inner thought processes of the MCs and the way they navigate their feelings so well written. I'm laughing still as I write this review. So glad I chose this book!

This book should be called "The Idiots"🤣 Because they are both idiots in their own way. I screamed multiple times at the phone "just be honest with each other!". They could have been together all the time and been without A LOT of angst, if they only talked honestly with each other🙈

Overall I really enjoyed the book even with the miscommunication, which is not usually something I like. I loved Jesse, especially. He is so clueless and innocent. The narrators did a great job with both characters.

Murphy has been holding a candle for his long time, well their whole live , fri3nd Jesse. Who seems a bit vlueless about that. When he finally comew out to him he needs space. Jesse in his 'carpe diem' mode
follows his best friend on a gay cruise vacation. Just to support him, despite not informing Murphy.
I found Jesse his character so endearing and naive in certain ways. Murphy is coming to his rescue and Jesse to his.
Their friendship develops to more and low and behold theydo get together when they both dear to choose the person who they really like and appreciate and basically love.
This is the second Carver brother book and as good as the first one. Dianna created another well plotted book with a huge heart and likeables characters.

Narration the combination of Liam and Tim worked realky well for me. These established narrators did a banging job and they really got me fully emerged . Ofcourse the excellent writing is a good start to work from.

A sweet summer child with a down to earth man
